Hearing-Aid-D-H-D

For years I have been blaming ADHD for my complete lack of ability to sit through class without getting completely distracted. When I say completely distracted, I mean I notice everyone getting up to leave, but I don't recall having heard my teachers voice once that day. Scary.

Or like how when I was in 11th grade it took me three whole days to realize I was mistakingly enrolled in an ESL (english as a second language) class? Mas espantoso. (That's "more scary" for you english as a first language folk).

Or how about how I refused to raise my hand when I "heard the beep" for my hearing test(s) in elementary school because they were too quiet and too boring?

Anyways, I'm basically thinking these were all causes of me being partially deaf. Probably.
I realized it today in class when a boy asked to borrow a pencil and I uneasily handed him my warm water bottle. It's all making sense now.
Photo taken by Geoffrey last Valentines Day. He was actually screaming my name to get my attention but apparently I failed to hear...or was distracted by something shiny.

So are you getting medicine or a hearing aid? May I suggest neither one? I think the stories that come of your lack of hearing/attention span are too good to rid yourself of. Just think about it.

the other day my three year old told me to "focus"

I had a lot of ear infections when i was little, I listen to the TV way too high, but i chalk my own attention issues up to a creative mind. "It's all potential inspiration!"

...You can borrow that excuse if you'd like ;)

ps. would you be scared of me if i posted another one of your cute pictures (but from your recent "Mangie" shoot)?
