Healthy gift-giving competition?

So here's the deal. Every holiday Geoff out-does himself (and me, dangit!) and gets me way better gifts than I get him. He starts shopping months before the actual holiday, writes down things throughout the year I had mentioned I wanted, switches bank account and email passwords, haves the gifts mailed to his parents home, etc. He's a gift-giving ninja! Me on the other hand, am the worst. This anniversary however, I thought I'd step up my game and surprise him with AppleTV I noticed him eyeing down the night before. (Yes, I shopped the day of, apparently I'm a guy.) I was so excited to give the better gift and finally win, but I didn't win in my opinion, I think we tied. Probably because I'm still not even sure what AppleTV is anyways. I spent 5 minutes with some hip guy in a teal shirt and black rimmed glasses listening to "all it does". Still, not so sure. 

Annnnnnyways, I made decoy coupons and gave him those first. Two "Free Hug" bucks and even one "Public Hug" buck. I was pretty bummed when I saw how stoked he was on those. THAT is how much credit he gives me?! Unbelievable. I must be even worse than I thought I was.

Next year I'll get em'.
