#1 Dad!

Happy One Week Ivy! Consider this my One Week gift to you. Your dad was so excited that he busted out his crazy legs once he heard the news we were allowed to take you home. (his case of hospital fever made those crazy legs even krazier.) As mortified as he may or may not be when he sees I posted this onto the world wide web, it won't be anything compared to how mortified you will be when watching this in your tween years.

We love you and can't imagine life without you!

A very G-rated Birth Video.

We thought it would be fun for Ivy to have a video made of her stay in the hospital to watch when she was older. I was most excited to catch all her many visitors on camera so she could know how many people loved her and wanted to come snuggle her. Her nursery stay made that difficult, so we got as many as we could once we got home. Thank you to all the friends and family who came to see Ivy. We were spoiled with flowers, meals, cookies, books and magazines, but we mostly appreciated everyones company while we eagerly waited for her to get out of the nursery.

Geoff did an unforgettable happy dance (think slick hospital floors, "just washed" jeans, and slippery shoes) once we heard the news we could take her home with us. A video of that coming not soon enough..

Home at last!

Can you believe this weather? We actually had to come inside yesterday because I was too cold. Thank you May!

Ivy Update!

Ivy girl is doing good! She got weened off her oxygen this morning which lets us cuddle her more. Just one more day of antibiotics and we'll all be able to go home tomorrow where we belong! We love our little girl!

We love you Ivy Mae.

7 lbs, 21 inches. Born right on her due date, so prompt!
A 15 minute delivery was pretty rough on her forehead, peep that raspberry! Poor girl.

Five minutes old, happy birthday girl!

The final countdown for reals!

Remember when we made a paper chain countdown 6 years ago and it could wrap around the both of us 9 times? Look how short it is now! Holy smokes!

In other news, I had a fabulous birthday! Between Mothers day on the 9th and my birthday on the 10th, I've had a great 48 hours. I was hoping to go into real live BIRTH for the ultimate birthday gift from this baby, but no dice. She must not have received Geoff's amazing gift-giving DNA.
