Valentines Weekend.

Since Valentines Day fell on a Monday, we decided it would be best to just celebrate the entire weekend leading up to it. And by that I mean, we just wanted to open our presents on Friday morning. If you recall how competitive we get when it comes to gift-giving, you'll know that this holiday was no different. Unfortunately Geoff put my gift to shame and surprised me with better presents, C'mon Geoff.
Other V-weekend festivities included dinner with friends, Valentine-grams, heart-shaped everything, and binging on Reeses hearts and Thin mints. (We like to believe that there are no calories in seasonal treats.)

On actual Valentines Day, Geoff surprised us by coming home from work early (the best gift of all!) with flowers in tow, ready for a lunch date. Flowers and jewelry are great, but I'm glad he knows the real way to my heart is bottomless baskets of chips & salsa for lunch, Well done Mr.

didn't you hear, there are no calories in treats that you share with people, and there are negative calories if you eat treats from a bowl of the same color (red skittles, from a red bowl = negative calories!!)...the wisest lesson my mother ever taught me!

no explanation for the "baby being forced to eat flowers" photo?

I think it's hilarious.

What a great weekend!

With the way you two look, you can eat all the treats you want!

1) I definitely have the same philosophy with holiday treats (as you know by now). I think I ate a half a chocolate mousse pie today.

2) Ivy licking the flower is SO cute.

3) I love our teenagers hanging out with a baby photo. Great times. I never want our weekly date nights to end.

That dress is so cute!
You know you have an amazing husband when he can pick out something that adorable!

Alright, its about that time. Your blog has probably been on my "most recently viewed" tab since you were the engaged part of underagedandengaged. Me dating Geoff's younger brother for quite some time makes it less creepy right?
Yeah but your watch? #obsessed. Do you share your time-telling secrets? Aka...where you got your watch?
I think I need it.
You guys are #1

You two crack me up! In an unrelated note, today is Scott's birthday and I am also pretty bad at this present thing, so I'm nervous.

Ah well, there is always next year.

I was just making fun of couples who go out together on valentines day but your picture beats the one I don't have!
