I'll be honest, these days I've been mistaking little kids birthday parties as wedding receptions, it's kind of icky. Maybe it's just me justifying laziness, or possibly my lack of creativity talking, but I decided to keep V's party "super low-key". We did all of Ivys favorite things- played in my parents backyard, swam, played pickle ball, and BBQ'd, it was just right. I told everyone to not bring Ivy a gift , but she was spoiled rotten anyways. Thanks to all our great family and friends who came out to say wassup. We love y'all.

I am totally with you on the whole "making babies bday like a wedding" thing. They don't even know whats going on anyway, so why not make it low key?! Plus, it doesnt get better than cake, BBQ, and swimming! What a fun Bday...she is adorable!!!
i fully agree about baby birthdays. i understand what a huge deal it is for parents to reach their one year anniversary as parents, but still. more power to them, i guess :) and more power to you for having a chill V day.
