Last weekend we went to the Children's Museum of Phoenix with some friends. (Free First Friday night)
It was our first time there and it was totally worth the hour of standing in line outside on the sweatiest night of the year. I'll credit that to the sweaty DJ who played hits like, "The Candy Man" and danced for us.
We loved it so much we went back 5 days later with 5 cousins from the White side and Grammy. Papa White even snuck away from work and met us for lunch and played a while. I made sure to bring my camera this time around because this is one of Ivy's last play-dates with the Wilson kids before they move on Saturday. I'm sure if Ivy knew that was the case she would have pouted the whole time. Kinley is Ives' favorite babysitter of all time, she is such a good cousin and friend and little mom to Ivy! She'll be missed by both of us, as will the rest of the Wilson fam.
I may have to get ourselves a membership, there's so much to do! (Any East Valley-ers have a membership? Do you go as often as you thought?)

i love the picture of her looking up! she's adorable!
These are too precious! I actually had some of my engagement photos done outside the museum (yay for lime green walls) but have yet to go inside. Can't wait to have my own kiddos to take there. Hope it's still around then! haha
We had a membership last year and went at least once a month. Having the membership more than paid for itself. Plus, it is a great option for kiddos with these hotter than hell temperatures of summer.
Have you been to AMY (Arizona Museum for Youth)? That's where I work and it's much closer to you.
Phoenix is really awesome but they're not big on cleaning or safety. During the week days while school is in they are INSANE with field trips with means lot of older kids to push around the younger ones.
Wow, I sound like a Debbie Downer.
I'm sure you would LOVE having a membership, it is pretty amazing there, but you should check out AMY first!
We bought a pass. I couldn't help myself it was so fun. Alex loved it. I think we will be buying a zoo pass as well. So far it is twice a month we go. We love it!
with the almost 8 years I've been here sadly I've never been to the children's museum, glad at least my kids made it over! Looks like you guys had a blast! Seriously gonna miss the crew! Great pictures, like always!!!!
looks a lot more fun on non-free days.
A museum full of crazy fun things to play with almost seems like a misnomer!
hi! i should comment more often than this. i can't pass up a chance to talk about std's and kids! cause my kids get herpes at that museum every time we visit.
not really.
but we did have a membership for 2 years and it literally took me that long to realize that my kids got sick every time we went.
we pulled out to save on doctor appointments. it's fun but it's getting stickier and scummier every year. perhaps you're more of a hand sanitizing type of gal than i am (like every 5 minutes) so it won't cramp your style but as for me and my crew- we'll leave the gonorrhea for the more adventurous toddlers.
good luck!!
Your family makes the cutest kids, for reals. They are all adorable.
great photos!
i need to get over there.
I just found your blog via blogher. I am excited to read more! The phx museum is awesome, so much better than the mesa one! We haven't been their for a while, this makes me want to go.
love your photography but most of all your sense of humor!
xo
Ivy's outfit is soo cute! i'd totally wear that tshirt, haha. and passes for museums + the zoo = a lifesaver with kids! easy entertainment for a few hours every few days!
