The other night I went bowling with some girlfriends, where I coincidentally ran into some other friends I hadn't seen since the beginning of my pregnancy. One boy told me how big I was, and the other followed with "You brought your own bowling ball?!" Funny guys.
The other morning I actually resorted to icing my cheeks with a frozen washcloth to reduce facial swelling, but it didn't seem to help. I guess that's more of a post-op wisdom teeth thing. The chipmunk look will just have to do.
Swimming is my saving grace. Sorry I'm floating in your pool 24/7 Mom.
I still don't think it's registered to Ivy that she's getting a baby Sister. Any tips on how to prep her?
This baby girl moves so much. She's loco.
I'm going to the doc every week now, it makes me feel like I'm so close!

well, from that side angle, your cheeks look great!
You look great! Freaking swelling I'm only 16 weeks and I'm feeling the swell coming on already. Sheesh... babies. Good thing they're cute eh?
You look so CUTE!! I'm so excited to see what your new girl looks like.
P.S. You seriously don't look like your face is swelled... But let me know if you find the secret of "de-swelling".
You look amazing!
I have two girls. My eldest didn't understand as we are not around other children her age. She didn't get it and her heart was broken when her sister arrived but she didn't make a fuss and I didn't push it, I don't like everyone I meet first time! At 6 weeks we arranged to to leave the new baby with the Dr. and go home just the three of us, we got as far as the door and she shouted No! and that was it, they get on like two peas in a pod.
Advice - don't make lots of rules for Ivy just a couple that are important to you for instance, don't poke the baby in the eye etc easy for her to remember.
I also made some baby free environments for her where there was no baby talk that worked really well - playgroup or swimming etc
Thanks for sharing your pregnancy
Regards CM
You look awesome. Seriously, better than girls who are due way after you. My sister didn't even notice you were preggo til I pointed it out! And lots of play dates with kids of all ages will help, but it doesn't matter if she gets it. :) There's something so special about a newborn, she will when it matters.
Uh...swollen cheeks? I don't think so girl. Check out that angular profile you have going on! It's just pregnancy goggles. Your vision is totally skewed.
Haha, those are some funnt guys :p
You look amazing!
*funny
Hey Stacey..Being pregnant never looked so good! With my girls each time I brought home a new baby, I got them there own baby (a doll) that they brought home from the hospital and they even had the new crib and stroller to go along with it. I think it helped a lot and I may have even caught them nursing the babies a few times. Sometimes it can be a big adjustment for them at first, but I'm sure Ivy will fall in love with the new baby in no time! Good luck!
You look amazing. And now I can say that about real-life too, not just photos on the blog. It was so fun running in to you the other night, thanks for saying hi!
loving your outfit! 35 weeks looks amazing on you! Ivy will be great I'm sure, in my case whoever has been the youngest when a new one came along has always had an adjustment period (to be honest Ben is still going through it) but it all works out one way or another!
Ohhh you look so amazing! Pregnancy definitely suits you.
And don't you think it is sort of rude when people come up to you and exclaim "look how BIG you are"?! Ugh! Whatever, you still look fab!
XXOO
There's nothing better than hanging around your mama's pool all day. =)
You look amazing, like always!! Good luck with these last few weeks :)

I talked to my daughter all the time about having a new baby brother coming home. I told her that I would need her help getting me diapers and wipes. And she saw other little babies at church, which helped too. Have you tried getting her a "baby sister" doll?? Or have you thought about having her pick out a present for her new baby sister and you picking out a present that can be from her new baby sister??? Just a few tips. And there is no such thing as chipmunk cheeks when your preggers! You look georgeous!
You look great. I talk to Alex about how fun it will be to play with her baby brother. She responds with "No share toys. My toys. Don't touch my toys!" that was probably a bad way to introduce a new sibling. I will ask Alex to say "hi" to the belly. She will sometimes talk to the belly. I let her feel the baby kick one time that freaked her out. I think they know something is up but too young to understand that their world is about to be rocked.
Ivy will be a great big sister! Hope these next few weeks fly by for you!
You look so adorable!!!
Hope you keep floating in the pool after your little babe arrives. I like it!
Stacie! You look beautiful! Oh my goodness, wow.
You look great and you're so close, yea! I don't have any help for you with Ivy, I think she'll get it after the baby comes home and doesn't leave though! We're still working on finding and adopting #2.

you look amazing!! i have two little girls-so much fun and love it. b, my oldest, did great and we were surprised. she was so happy to help and love on baby sister. it will all come natural for your oldest-you'll just love seeing them love each other.
I'm not a mom but have been babysitting for 12 years (since age 11) and have 25 cousins, so I have some experience with preparing little kids for siblings :)
I usually recommend talking about the baby (which I'm sure you're doing) and telling her how she'll be such a great big sister. Read some books about new babies in families. If she has (any interest in) dolls, you can show her how to swaddle the doll and feed it and change it and talk about how you'll be doing all of that with the new baby. The last girl I babysat for was very LOUD so I would always talk with her about how when the new baby came she couldn't yell whenever she wanted and had to use her "inside voice" ;)
p.s. you look freakin' amazing. I hope I look half as good when I have babies :)

You look amazing, Stacie!!
Holy smokin Stace. PS: What's even weirder is that I won't have seen you this pregnancy at all in person. Unless you're a week+ overdue when I come to AZ ;) Let's hope that won't be the case.
