This years Halloween was such a blast. Ivy made sure to eat more candy in one night than she has the whole year combined, and was so excited about wearing as many costumes as she could. She started the day bright and early as Aerial, then decided she wanted to go in more of the "huge-kid-in-a-newborn-sized-elephant-costume" route. After lunch, she then decided she wanted to wear my red scarf and "yipstick"(Rosie the Riveter!), switched last second to last years Bumble Bee costume, and then finally agreed on being this vague grocery-shopping pink princess (which later she dubbed as "Fancy Nancy"). Whew, and THAT is why you don't buy Halloween costumes but rather just have a well-stocked dress-up bin. Anyway, she loved going to some of our neighbors houses and doing the whole, "Trick-or-treat!" bit. She couldn't believe people were just GIVING away free candy at her demand. She also loved passing candy out and telling each trick-or-treater they looked like a "sca-wee guy!" Holidays just keep getting more and more fun with her each year, I love it.

so cute!! halloween is so fun with kids. since we didn't have nieces and nephews close by this year, we didn't even acknowledge the holiday. (which i kind of regret though because it's a free pass to eat candy.)
